Advancing Inhaled Anesthesia

In 2020, Baxter launched a partnership with ZeoSys Medical GmBH for an innovative new product called CONTRAfluranTM Anesthetic Gas Capture System, designed to directly reduce the effect of inhaled anesthetics on greenhouse gases.

All Baxter’s inhaled anesthesia products are characterized by having a long shelf-life.1-3  Both Suprane and sevoflurane are packaged in aluminium containers,1,2 a unique and virtually unbreakable design, which may reduce safety hazards like anesthetic leaks and exposure in case of cracked or broken bottles.
 

The smaller size and lighter weight of aluminum, as compared to glass bottles,8 offers multiple benefits:
